DESCRIPTION: I would like to tell you briefly of my experience. I am a female bodybuilder who was following the typical "O" blood type program before I was made aware of your book. In my various consultations with personal trainers they had advised me "high protien, low carb" was the ONLY way. On this diet (of which I followed for close to a year and a half) i was sluggish, tired, hungry and very often sick.But most of all, i could NOT drop wieght, no matter how hard i tried. After taking a hiatus, and consulting with a naturalist practitioner, she recommended your book and put me on a vegetarian program. Although, at first i was skeptical, thinking a vegetarian program would cause me to lose all my hard earned muscle, I was pleasantly surprised that not only have i maintained my muscle mass, but the weight finally began to drop. I have lost 10 pounds, with next to no effort. Your book saved my sanity and my faith that not all programs can be followed by all people. All the foods on the "avoid" list were all the foods i was eating, and feeling ill all the time. When i finally started eating right for me, things finally fell into "balance". I just wanted to thank you for putting it in black and white where i could finally understand that it wasnt through my "error" or "lack of willpower" that i couldnt reach my goals. I would like to see you fine tune the program for athletes as we are a special population and our needs are certainly different than that of couch potatoes. Keep up the good work, and again THANK YOU!
