DESCRIPTION: BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION: MY CHANGE FROM A TO ZERO Dear Dr. D' Adamo The reading of your book about the blood groups hit me very strongly.Very many questions i had, you give the answer to in your writing aboutthe different types.Let me explain shortly about my experience:I am now 35 years old and living in Switzerland. At the age of probably23 I started with psycho-therapy, because I was strongly depressed. By the age of 28, I seemed to be "over the hill", as we say in german, and Ifelt very well again, started a good ecucation. After almost 2 years, with a good grade on the way to make my diploma, I became very sick onAkute myeloische LeukSmie, shortly AML M5. During almost 4 years I had avery hard time, and now, thank God, I am healed by Bone MarrowTransplantation! But now to the reason I'm writing to you: Before BMT i hadbloudgroup A, after I had 0 (he Marrow is from a woman in Washington, and I don't know her.)In the time I was in steriel atmosphere I started to be agressive, so thepeople who cured me were astonisched. It was not very heavy, but forthem it was unusual, because after the hard chemo-therapy and alsor adiologic therapy everybody is totally tired, and in case of problems, they sometimes even don't speak for days.It now is about two years since BMT, and a still am learning to controlmyself: In discussions, before BMT (with A), I had to take care, even to beheard. Before a decision, I would be waiting and thinking very longly aboutevery consequene. Now, after BMT (with 0), Ii have so much energy, that I must control myself, not to be to dominant, and if there is a problem, I haveto keep myself down so I won't decide, before I even spoke or thoughtabout it. My psychiatrist (also my therapist, who is working in hisddoctor's office) in beginn of 1999 even wanted to give me tranquilizersbecause they thought, I turned from depressed to be a maniac
