DESCRIPTION: I have been on synthroid since the birth of my second child, 11 years ago. Since then I have not been able to lose weight. When I went on the type O diet, eliminating wheat and eating more red meat, I lost weight. I went from 158 to 135 lbs. But while I was on the diet I developed exczema, and red patches around my eyes and mouth. I went to a naturopath and she said my body was very acidic and I needed to eat alkalin ash foods. This seems to help, however the redness seems to come and go. I read that the arachadonic acid in the meat can cause exczema. Can you give me any help in this area? I am running out of foods to eat!
