DESCRIPTION: I have Graves' disease. I had been on medications for over two years for hyperthyroidism, and wasrecently able to discontinue their use as I am now considered to be in remission. I began the ER4YT at the time I discontinued my meds and as of this writing , my blood test have come back allin the normal range so far. I have continued to lose weight with the illimination of all wheats and pastasand tried to remain 99% consistent with the diet eating beneficial and neutral foods. My husband is atype A. He has not been totally faithful (red meats), but has also lost weight by eliminating many breads and pastas. We're working on getting tofu into his regime. I know you mention that O's are suseptible to Hashimotos, which is opposite of my hyperthyroid, so I just wonder why the conflict there? I know you do mention problems with thyroid function for O's, is that what you're referring to, or is there somethingelse going on to create the hyperactivity of the thyroid? Any suggestions to keep this in control?
