SPECIFICITYHKML was found to bind synthetic glycoproteins (neoglycoproteins) carrying either alpha-L-fucosyl or alpha-L-rhamnosyl residues. HCCML is an alpha-galactoside-binding protein of molecular weight of 64 kDa that also binds to lactose, maltose and fucose.
