| CHARACTERIZATION | AlphaV/beta3 is a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand's factor, Vitronectin, Tsp (Thrombospondin), osteopontin and Bsp1 (bone sialoprotein 1). It is expressed on endothelial cells, some B-cells, platelets and monocytes. alphaVb-beta3 mediates platelet aggregation and endothelial cell adhesion to ECM proteins.
