DESCRIPTION: I have been on an anti-yeast diet, a course of antifungal medication, and a diet free of my allergenic foods for the past few months (since Sept.). I've been on the type O diet for the past 3 weeks and whereas my original dietary changes had already helped me a lot, this "tweaking" of the diet has really helped me to feel well again - for the first time in years. Before I began this course of action I suffered from inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic headache, chronic fatigue, and increasing double vision. I was being worked up for neurological diseases such as MS when I got back my yeast and allergy results (which I had to order and pay for myself because my doctors thought this was a ridiculous approach to my problems...) Within days of changing my diet (I was a huge sugarholic), I felt immensely better. A few weeks later I started Diflucan and that caused another large improvement. All of the above symptoms had disappeared, including the double vision, and all I was left with was about 20% of the pain I had had before. I had, however, reached a plateau and begun to backslide until discovering ERFYT. I made a few modifications and withing 2 weeks began to feel much much better again. Every day now is a bit better. I should add that I was eating a type A diet for about 13 years because I abandoned my carnivorous ways when I married my type A husband, who was a vegetarian. Most meals consisted of beans and grains, esp. pasta. My inflammatory disease began after 9 years of this. When I went on the anti-yeast and allergy diet, I unwittingly started on the road to a type O diet because I was forced to cut out the carbohydrates and eat meat again (Boy, was I relieved! Now I know why!). I think part of the reason I began to feel better so fast on the anti-yeast and allergy diet was that I was going back to eating what I should have been eating all along as a type O. Thank you Dr. D'Adamo!
